yeah, I think the grinches are a bit overpriced. It all seems pretty straight forward to make except for the remote on the handle to control the speed.

In the video are they using a grinch or a home made one?

plus, the variation of different skim/surf breaks will be more than entertaining. same boat wake all the time for $10,000, i think not.

its called a winch, and it's nothing new. wakeskaters have been using it since 2003.. there is the blackbox, grinch, distortion winch, and the pirate winch. hahah everyone here is flipping out about winches and a few months go everone on wakeskating.com was too. hhhah

it would be alot cooler if the winch was situated in an anchored boat like 100 yards out and then you could get pulled in to huge waves. Kinda like the bungee skimonline video thing. Instead of just being pulled along the beach.

winching is where its at with wakeskating. I think if you had it at a beach that was set up right it would be fun with a skim. Wakeskating you can go anywhere, big gaps, lake to lake gaps via rail, little damns. Check out www.omenskates.com go to propaganda look at some of the photos. There are some winching and some others I think you guys will like. Check out my boys ski... hhahahah thing is soooo dope. I love wakeskating behind that thing
