Old Pics = No Show

So today we were talking about moniters and I went to show someone a pic of Jeffs 37" and when I searched the thread, it was still there as it should be but the pics he posted weren't showing up... Why is this?

most image hosting sites only host them for a certain amount of time, and then delete them to save space
