well i recently started skiming again, and its been a while, so i picked up my apex s-glass, not my favorite but whatever, and it ended up getting stolen so ive been riding my old woody and its actualy alot of fun. i think when i got the apex, i got it way bigger than i should have, thats why i could never get any air and i took this woody out and caught like 3 feet of air on it first try. so i think i want to grab a new board just a cheap one and ive been looking at the victoria foamie i weigh around 150 and i was thinking the medium size just so i can have a foam board thats not getting waterlogged like the wood one i got right now. so what do you guys think about it? is the foamie pretty good, not too heavy?
foamies are shit and weigh more than Kirstie Alley

The bottom of the board is plastic and slows you down. The grommet large has an eglass bottom and is cheaper. Also it is 150 to 190 so it isnt to small.

get an exile recruit, about same price, way better quality. i had a foamie, recruit is way better for entry level boards.

Avoid the foamie, its not worth it. Whats your price range?

Just get a J-Gordon or something, it works just as good and will last longer.

best response to this question I've ever heard +1..If your looking for a board that will help you progress, a foamie would not be my first pick..It will definitely be a step up from a woodie though, wich you seem to ride pretty well from your post.
I would check out a Zap Pro, Exile Recruit, Victoria Ultra, or even a Slotstick (I would give you a model name, but I don't know very much about them)..These are all around the same price range (fairly cheap) and they will help you progress quicker than a foamie would, considering they are all better boards.

Slotstik would be the 330 series. They're all around $300. A large vic grommet is $225 and it's the same materials as an ultra, just shorter and a little wider.
It really depends on your price point. You can always keep going "if I can just save up another $80-100 I can get the next board which will be better". If all you can afford is a foamie get it. You won't progress as fast like others have said but I've seen kids around here doing things on foamies that I didn't think were possible.
