Well I got my new vic poly vac ml today and was really excited, just to find that ups had dropped it right on its tail. Now there is a huge ding/crack all the way through the tail down to the foam. It really sucks because I was looking forward to testing it out, it is my first good board and I loved the board color. Oh well I guess I'll have to get gray now or a different blue. It makes me angry that ups workers can't take the time to handle fragile packages. It should be easy to prove they dropped it though, all of the bubble from the bubble wrap are popped right where the tail was and pieces of the board that broke off are right there as well. Eastcoastskimboards said they would ship me another one asap so hopefully I won't have to wait much longer. Hopefully this time ups will be a little more careful or it will be packaged a little better.
Has this ever happend to anyone else?

why do they crack, ding, drop so many boards???? I don't seem to understand because it just makes more work for them. UPS is a great service but they could at least be more careful with fragile packages.

i dont understand how there are so many damaged board incidences. it really sounds like the shops are just insufficiently packing these boards.

that sucks ass.. how did they package the board to let it get damaged though..just bubble wrap? aside from usp sucking balls you should tell eastcoastskimboards to package your shit better... my board from skimshop had a good 5 inches of space that would of needed to be bashed in to get my board's nose or tail damaged

It was basically in a form fitting box, no extra room, and a single layer of bubble wrap. It must have been dropped on its tail onto the pavement, all the bubbles are popped around the tail. It's no little ding either its pretty big and deep. It goes through the polyester resin, e glass, right to the foam. There are holes and cracks. It also sent a shockwave through the rails because they are cracked to. Basically it is totaled. Eastcoastskimboards is being really helpful. they said they would send a replacement asap so i'll call them today and order my second choice, the ml poly vac gray. I'll tell them to put in extra padding as well. Hopefully this one gets here quickly and in pristine condition thats what I expect when I shell out $352 usd.

also oddly enough the one pictured in my avatar the one from the picture on their site and the one I ordered was not the same as i received. It was relly close but no cigar. The blue was the same or maybe a shade off and the logo was on the opposite side in a different lettering style more of a script than grafitti

yeah, it sucks. happens all the time with all kinds of stuff, all shipping companies do shit like that. it's the unfortunate part of doing mail order.

Well I ordered another Victoria Poly Vac ML gray, hopefully it will ship quickly so I can go skim. The water is finally getting tolerable and the waves are nice. I have not been in a while it is killing me. I just want to wrap a wave or catch a nice sider so badly. UPS better not drop this one too. Other wise I'll have to go to my third choice. I guess I need to update my avatar.
