Summer 2011 Cape Cod Contest series

Alright boys and girls I am proud to announce that a group of New England skimboarders has come together for this summer to expand upon the 6th annual Cape Cod skmboard contest by expanding that contest into a two part series. We have been both incredibly fortunate and blessed over the past 5 years to have had success and support from many different places and this year we want to show some more love to the skimboarders of the North East. Nope this contest is going to be at Whitecrest beach in Welfleet. Thanks teddy, I hadn't seen your post before,

What: Skimboarding gathering and Competition for all levels
When: Saturday July 16, 2011
Check-in 8-9:15 am Fee: $5 First Call to competitors 9:30am
Where: Whitecrest Beach Welfleet, Ma 02667

Just so everyone remembers, parking at whitecrest can be expensive. One of the alternatives is bring a longboard for the skate, drop your crew off at the beach and then return to the bike path parking area. Often times you can catch a ride from there back to the beach or start skating back with your thumb up and people can help you out. Otherwise its a 1.25 miles with a small uphill stretch about 3/4 of the way back.

Sadly, I'm away this weekend in PA. Otherwise, I would be there. Next time for sure. As a two part series... when is the next part for us that can't make this one?

Yes we have pictures coming, unfortunately the main photographers computer is out of commision at the moment but we will be getting pictures up as soon as we can. Until then get out and skim so that you are ready for the second event, it will be held on August 13 as previously mentioned and we will be getting the flyer and pre-registration info up as soon as we can
