I got Windows 7 to upgrade with but I'm getting this error message.

I've been searching around and there are similar solutions but I don't know where to begin as far as getting this to work. Anyone help me out? thanks

When you start your computer up hit F2 go into the bios and change the boot order to boot from the CD. Boot from the CD and install.
edit: which probably wont do anything but hang up on that error...
did you do a clean install or an upgrade?
i tried to upgrade to windows 7 and it fucked up my computer. id suggest just backing up all your shit (if you can now) and just do a fresh install of windows 7.
this probably won't help you though haha.

yeah I changed the boot order and at first, it looked like it was doing something but then it asked me to start it up from the desktop. So I was like, great...I'll keep lookin.

yeah I did a clean install. Like, I literally backed up all my important school, photo, skim, files on an external 2TB. So I'm oka with all that. I had to search for my drivers on dell's site which wasn't too painful. yet, I feel like I didn't get everything. But as long as my computer is up n running with internet I'm str8. I just want to get windows 7. Im trying to invest in a macbook pro soon because banging back n forth with Mac and PC programs/partitions from school becomes a headache sometimes. Files don't transfer or isn't recognized unless it's native. Thanks guys.
