because it is generally used as a beginner board... I guess.. I dont know.. mostly theyre not that great of boards.. some people can rock them pretty good though..

WHAT I MEANT TO SAY was that they use a layer of wood in their boards. i had a high end wavezone(hahahahaha) as my first real foam board. it wasnt too bad, but it wasn't too good either. very heavy, but verryyy floaty. i would still prefer it for days with huuge wind or something.

i am proud to say i skimmed a wavezone for a while, and it came super thin, but super heavy. definitely wood core or something. but i murdered some waves with it nonetheless.

There is a hole through it where i shot it with a bb gun. the nose is all crumpled up. and a few nasty repaired gashes. but if you sold your carbon thing for 300 imsure you could sell this for like 75

my carbon has no damage only used twice. and whenbought new it was 550 your board i can buy here in WPB for about 175 or so new. its not for me anyways it is for a friend.
