That's right peeps, our 2011 schedule is coming out!! This time around we are trying to give you the rider more of a chance at entering an event that has waves. So instead of one day (minus the Navarre Skim Invasion where you will get 2) you will get 3 extra days (see dates below). It will work like this: There will be a primary date and an alternate date. Skim Invasion will be able to move the event to the alternate date no later than 3 or 4 days before the event. (Still working on the number of days.) This is why we are putting out the schedule now so you the rider can plan accordingly. Once the event is moved to the alternate date, the event will be held no matter what barring an act of God (I.E. hurricane, earthquake, etc.) This will all be put up on the website.

Also we will have up this week the pricing of each entry for the ams. Here is how it will work. One event will be the usual $25. Enter 2 events and it will cost you $45. Enter 3 and you pay $65. Get the picture? We plan on adding another " Top Secret " event and Wellfleet will stay as long as sponsor support stays. So here is the schedule:

Waterboyz Am June 18th & 19th 2011. Alternate date ?? in work @ Navarre Beach, Fl

Tybee Island Take Over August 6th & 7th 2011. Alternate date September 3rd & 4th 2011 Tybee Island, GA

Navarre Skim Invasion September 24th & 25th 2011. Alternate date October 8th & 9th 2011 Navarre Beach, Fl

Update. The waterboyz am has been moved to June 18th & 19th and the alt date to be announced. Moved due to $$$ issues. Sorry guys.

I dont like this waiting period stuff or the alternate date stuff...i mean for us working folks i cant ask off for one weekend just to have it changed and then be stuck asking for another date off...seems like unless you live close to the events its going to be hard to do.....at least for me. :( Although i will be trying to make afew this year.

We understand but you have to admit as a skimmer that it sux when you know a contest is going to be flat. It also sux on my part planning this thing with no late fees and beach entries allowed and everyone waits to see if it will be flat. Then the event is screwed. I am trying to give the riders what they, and I am sure you, really want. I am a working dude also so I get it but it is worth the risk for me. The way we think is totally different than what other event directors do and I feel like we should try new things to move in a new direction.

We had the $$$ in our budget last year even after the Mass contest to do it again. It was a great turn out but I just don't think it can happen on our end this year. Mainly cause of $$$ issues from the sponsors. The economy and other factors are killing us.
