I know you can reatach pads with gorilla glue or 3m spray, but if i use the glue is it hard to get off your board, and does it mess up the board when you replace the old pad with a new one?

Yea once you put gorilla glue on, you'll damage the board trying to get it off. Buy new pads if you have a new board. If you are re-positioning pads, try 3M first. Gorilla is nasty stuff

remember kids, gorilla glue expands!

Yes^, because it does expand I don't know what it's good for, And remember you must add water to it, just make it work.

definitely use 3m spray for pads, it will hold them just as good as gorilla but wont damage the board, and put pressure on the pads were you glued it for a couple hours while it dries

I don't understand why it would matter if it damages the board when it comes off. If you do a good job putting on the pads, hopefully you'll never have to take them off. I dunno, maybe i'm weird for thinking that.

Anyway, I use superglue. After putting it all across the bottom of the pads, I put a small amount outside of the pad on the corner where it meets the board. Thus creating a seal. You can't really see it, and it works really well. Of course you have to wait a while for super glue to dry, but it works wonders because it'll never allow water to seep under the pad, which is the main cause of the glue losing it's stick anyway.

I think with 3m spray you need to put it on both sides and let it dry before putting it together.

gorilla goo. do it right or do it twice.

as for damaging a board by removing pads...that's gotta take retard strength...and one retard.

might want to "be careful" with that $400+\- toy, you're trying to fix it, not break it. Don't try to peel the pads off in one piece, scrape 'em.

to be honest, screw the board once a pad comes up. stay away from dakine pads, and x trax. they suck. i have had Gorrila Grips on my last 2 boards and they never seem to wanna come up.

You have to get the right 3M spray though not just whichever is cheapest. Preferably High Strength 90 if you can find it or Super 77 (Walmart should have that).

Walmart has everything nowadays

yeah man it seems your pads just arent at the puberty stage to wanna come up.

like said above, its gotta be xtraks fault for you not properly cleaning the board, and adding some sort of pressure or weight for a period of time. highfive

Use 3m contact cement

http://paint-and-supplies.hardwarestore.com/50-271-contact-cement/elmer''s-probond-contact-cement-141010.aspx
http://images.orgill.com/200x200/6376644.jpg

First clean both the board and the pad thouroughly with a laquer thinner / acetone etc.
apply contact cement to the board and pad with a brush.
let it air dry for 20 min.
stick them together forever.

btw super glue is great if just the edge is coming up.
