Is anyone else finding long delays when it comes to page loading tim eon skimonline.com? At my house, school, and a friends house I find the site loads pages very slow... I was wondering if this has anything to do with the bandwidth of the site or whatever...

May be peak hours when there's a lot of visitors to the website; Or the ISP you're on may be lagging, reaching it's own peak, or 'sputtering'

I jsut figured it had to do with the site because i have tried it at 3 different locations and with 3 different isp's and at 3 really different times... maybe i'm jsut unlucky.

the second server is down. the ads are called from it, so the page holds waiting for the response from skimonline2.com.
I wont have time to fix it until after the contest.

it took a full 45 seconds to load. that is 44 seconds too slow by my standards.
i was hurt by my computer's inability to process this mb's greatness

As Aaron said, the messageboard is on a server on it's own, and the loadtime should be lightning fast. If you're getting a little slow-down, it's probably a lot of people using different parts of the database at one time (to pickup posts, usernames, etc).

The message board normally loads at a reasonable speed for me. Its usually just the main page, and considering its set as my home page thats not a good thing. Oh well I'll just be patient untill it gets fixed.

i just now realized what you guys are talking about, because i accidentally deleted my skimonline bookmark and had to go to the main skimonline page and it did load pretty slow, so my advice is that you do what ive been doing all along, and make a bookmark at the actual MB instead of skimonline, it loads up just as fast as it should
