Skim shots with flash

Me and a mate tryed to shoot with a flash. result is ok but waves were reaaly bad , so well give it another try soon. here the results...

It looks like your just spraying water by turning fast :/ but they look pretty cool, if riding waves isnt your thing ;) just joking what beach is that?

Were you using the flash on or off the camera?

To get a cool effect with the flash you want to get some sky in there. That way you meter for the sky and use the flash to fill in enough light to bring the rider up to the same exposure. There were some really good examples in FSM. I can't remember if it was the last one or the one before that.

I felt bad for the small wave in NC.

the flash was off the cam at the right.
i know there are kinda no waves... but thats a realy bad day.
