I am doing that to my board because the other one was really coming up. To put on the new one, do i need to get the area on the board that i am putting it all clean or can i leave the old sticky stuff on there? I know how to get the stick off but it just takes a while so ya.

why would you want extra shit on there? the cleaner it is the longer your pad will last and the less you will have to do this so clean it to the fullest.

Just superglue the old pad down, I dont even bother putting my pads on well. I usually end up tearing them off and realighning them a few times, all you need is super around the edges of the pad. Marine Goop works best.

Well depending on what condition your old pad is in I agree with Walruz, if its in good condition then do super glue it down, thats what I did with my old board when the kicker started coming up..it works well.
