read into the specs on the vic site and see which one will better suit your style of riding.

Why dont u want an exile? And the poly is 3/4" and the plane is 5/8" thick. Might wanna keep that in mind.

Plane is 5/8 or 3/4. Poly is 3/4 maybe you can custom a 5/8.

The Poly and the Plane are pretty much the same, except the plane has no shiney gloss coat so they put in vinylester to compensate and it comes out with a little more flex and it costs a little less.

They use vinylester to compensate for the "shiney gloss" and that causes it to have a little more flex????

No, that's not right.

The gloss coat gives a Poly Vac it stiffness and shine. The Plane Wrap doesn't have this gloss coat, but uses the stronger vinyester instead of polyester. In doing this the Plane Wrap has a little more flex than the Poly Vac. Or at least according to Victoria, skimcity, skimshop, and eastcoastskimboards.

i dont want an exile because they cost way too much for my budget, when i include traction.

thanks for the help. is more flex versus less good or bad?

in my opinion a stiffer board, such as a carbon fiber board, would be more desirable..more responsive, i think that would be a fitting word to use.

Didnt see they added 3/4s on the website. I just remember the first ones were being 5/8 good observation
