View Full Version : Apex - resin vs. graffiti art, textured vs. glossy

What's the difference between apex bottom resin art and apex bottom graffiti art. I'm asking because the resin art isn't supposed to add any additional weight, which I think would be better.

Do you apex riders get textured or just get glossy?

get textured for sure. i got glossy on my board now (not an apex but whateva, and i had a reason for getting it), but ill never get it again.

the gloss coat can get little cracks and makes discolored circles on some pressure dings. doesnt happen as easily with a textured deck (if at all?). def get textured. its a little stronger than gloss and i thought id never notice that but now i do.

i have both on my board, and get the resin art, it wont add weight ive already had two of them

as soon as my friend buys the traditional shape i have right now im gonna buy a different shape. i know this is asked a lot: Tim how does your shape compare to the traditional shape?

Did you not like the original shape tommy? I too am interested in the Fulton pro model, but i've heard good things about the new original too.

It was more narrow and flatter than my exile hybrid shape with hybrid rocker. when i first got it it felt to weird but now im used to it. Its definitely a great board but it was just me having to get used to it. Plus i want different colors. i have purple top and white bottom which still looks sick, but i want something without a white bottom.

If you look close enough on the board you will see these little scribbles all over the board (it looks like someone took a pen and did it).... That's apparently textured .... I only know this cuss my friend ordered textured and that's how it came out
