Hey guys,
I recently received my new square skimboard (wooooo), and it is a beast. I am in love with it.
My problem though is that the place where we skim happens to have a lot of tar on the beach, and its really gotten annoying. I have a little bit of tar on my white astro track pads as well as a little on the deck.
Does anyone have a solution at least to safely get the tar off of the deck of my square without screwing up the textured surface or taking away the color?

Yes......about the oil. Then afterwards use dish-washing soap to get the oil off.

best way to get tar off your board is to put already chewed gum on the location of the tar. Press it down real hard. Put 3 drops of super glue top of the gum. Get a piece of cardboard and press it to the gum. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Then peel off the cardboard.
ill post a video on how to do it a week or so. So much tar down in san diego, this has been found to be the best remedy.

i use a cleaner called citrasolv. it works really well on the board but it wears down the traction pad a little bit. i clean the board all the time but i don't clean the traction pad that often

I bought these Tar-Off Towelette's and they work good for your skin and board. Takes the tar off your skin in a couple seconds. But you can't really do anything about the pads. They will turn a light yellow at best.

Extra virgin, cold-pressed I hope. None of that cheap knock-off shit.
