It's pretty ill when you see people who can get huge airs and do huge backflips

There are a lot of kiteboarders out here but its really expensive to get into is windsurfing expensive?
05-29-2006, 05:22 PM
just as expensive as kitesurfing if you go w/ brand new gear
boards run 900-1600, since most are made w/ carbon fiber now.
sails are 400-600 or so
masts and booms anywhere from 100-600...all masts have some percentage carbon usually 30-60-90%
i almost always buy used gear...since it loses value very quick ;), best way to go w/ either kiting or windsurfing.

Almost all my stuff is second hand, and old :) but it runs fine, and as long as you'll give some love to your material it won't let you down.
