Yeah its definently possible to learn both, why wouldnt it?

Just gotta set your mind on it and it can happen.

I need to learn fff to, i think it will help alot to be able to do bff and fff.

cuz i see other kids droppin father out in the water with fff and get to everything. it seems fff is just way smoother for water dropping too

i dont see the point in dropping fff. i always catch when i used to drop like that, so i switched. bff just seems so much more natural now.

I don't know of any instance that bff would be inferior to fff, but I have seen instances of fff being inferior to bff. It seems like your drop just isn't strong, or as strong as the skimmers you were skimming with. I drop bff and have never had a problem getting to waves...that goes for a deep water drop too.

if you live on the gulf or any place with choppy small wave that get in the way, a fff 1 step drop could be better. That way you can drop over the little wave and be that much closer to the big wave. and we dont have wetsand to drop on, a slope, or any waves for that matter haha

That happened to me all the time, the reason being.......When I was running as fast as I could, my friends would run right pass me. Maybe your not running as fast as the other guys too.

i dont think runnin is the issue cuz i am hauling as much ass as possible. i think it also might be my transition to the board isnt very smooth. but idk how to fix that

I know both, and can do either interchangeably.

and it does make a difference. if you know both then you know what im talking about.

I first learned fff and had a lot trouble with sand drop so i learned bff. i mainly use backstep because it does help more for other reasons

but fff is good when say youre running through more water or when its windy and fff is juat a quicker way to get on the board.

probably a good chance cause of this. just keep practicing. fff can have very clean transition, you just need to keep practicing and keep the "running onto the board" concept in your mind when practicing.

just try to be as light as possible getting onto your board. the quicker you get onto your board, the faster you will get out to the wave.

Maybe your transition needs to be smoother. I always have did FFF. Try not to skip onto your board, rather, run on it as you do your drop. Whenever I did a water drop, I had this habit of almost jumping FFF on my board. That's why on the top left of my arch bar, there's a few pressure dents from my heel pounding on it. If you got your run down, your good, just work on your transition. I still run into the same problem sometimes, but yeah..hope it helps?
