Hey if i could search the old forums i would. If you skim this board how do you like it and what condition's do you skim. I've heard some negative things about how narrow it is. but how do you like yours.

I have one. I really like it for liners. It falls right into a line real easy, and holds the line very well. I prefer more of a rocker for wraps etc. It feels a bit slower wrapping than a hybrid. I also did not like the durability of this board compared to a carbon exile.
Good board. Just not my favorite. Oh I live in WPB, Fl.

thanks dale. how well does it float?

it floats real well. 3/4th plus S-glass plus almost a traditional rocker......gives you lots of float.
Doesnt turn as fast as others though.

This board looked sick. I have a feeling it would even be good for me(6'3" 215lbs, Gulf Coast). I wish I looked further into buying one before they got rid of it.

my m/s geo (carbon) was my favorite board i've had. it was like riding a skateboard on little waves, super fun airs, suvs etc, and when it was time for wraps I could throw the tail super hard and stay in the pocket.
i broke that board pretty fast (maybe because of the way I skimmed it) but peluso took care of me on my next order (horray for customer service). when i re-ordered i went a size up to med and i couldn't turn that beast. I'd suggest, if you are going to get the geo, go with the smaller board.
i'm around 150lbs and 5'11" or so. i skimmed it at TI in laguna. all summer @26th ave (won a little contest in anklebitter conditions at 26) and then rode it for about a month here in HI, sandys (macking shorepound) and Kailua (which is florida style small waves)

i hada double carbon geo. i loved it other then the mistake of not getting textured deck. it was really sick. rode nice fast responsive and floated like a sob. Ide recommend it to anyone. honestly one of the best boards ive ridden. the down side was the break after 4 months. but i skimmed it everyday and some good head high skim on that board. so i guess i was a little to hard on it. but if your not hard on a board what good is it if your soft on it? if u buy it get textured deck. and carbon is stiffer and i think takes shells better. i ran over some pretty big ones and no gashes.

Question if its double carbon shouldnt it be way stronger? How did you break it in 4 months?

thats funny to hear mine wasn't the only one to go out quick. mine lasted from about the middle of june through the beginning of sept and then the tail fell off pumping out to a wave. and it was textured. and i don't believe in otb airs.

he prolly hit the wave in a wrong angle (like the front half of the board is in the air and the back is on the wave) after an air... that is hard for a board...
that's like holding it still on a ledge and kick on the piece that's in the air... nothing can withstand that on a regular basis...
anyway... it's all about bad luck... you can ride a Ultra Vac and never break it... or you could ride an double carbon/s-glass Epoxy and break it your first session.. most of it is bad luck.

a) all materials fatigue.
b) I have seen smart people riding broken boards and not know it for several waves, then be shocked that "their board broke on the transition".
c) your fat
d) so am I.

I'm not sure it that is the case with Ken's board, but can never tell.
Check your shit!!!!

well, it almost certainly is the case to some degree... the board didn't break on a mushy wrap, it broke due to countless bashes and running into lips maybe even a pop or two onto the sand, all of which cumulitavely broke the filaments that make of the fiber of the board. Even if the board was not buckled on his last ride, almost all of the "breaking" had already taken place.
This combined with the fact that he is notorious for saying and doing stupid things combined with the fact that I usually get 2 or 3 pm's from random people telling me what a dumbass he is when on a skimboard whenever he goes on an anti-exile kick, combine to tell me not to take anything he says seriously.
"Love you Ken"...

Dunno, but I broke my 2 Grapes within 6 months. Rode my most recent one about 20 times and it split right down the middle without running over anyhthing. I guess I just don't have good luck with them, I'm going back to Exile's :)

i hada double carbon geo.
you mean just normal carbon right? most exiles come with carbon top and bottom without saying double carbon i think...

I think Ken may have ordered an extra sheet of Carbon on top, maybe. but definitely not top and bottom, and I am skeptical about even the two sheets on top... I always thought his board was bust normal cabon, which is one on bottom, one on top.

I am 6 foot 5. You are 5 foot 6. You are the fatass.
I am above groveling for your business Ken. If you want to buy a board I will make you the best board I know how to. Period.
p.s. thats not double carbon, unless you want to call all exiles double carbon, cause I won't even make a board with carbon on one side. That shit is dumb.
Dont you already have a board???
Nope, I broke my NEW Grape at Sebastian this weekend. I'm definately not stoked about that because I'm not in the best financial situation right now....I just droppeed $510.oo on that damn Grape and rode it about 15-20 times, it sat in my room for a while because I had a broken hand and wasn't skimming much. So yay for my good luck!
This is a little off key Aaron but how are you liking the new place? I liked the other pad that I stayed at last year but I hear the new one is way sicker.
