Cabo Hotels

My gf and I are going to Cabo sometime in June. What are the semi-nice hotels close to solmar/lover's, and still close enough to town/shopping/night life? also any other Cabo tips would be appreciated.

Siesta Suites or Mar de Cortez are the cheapest options. Both are in town and within a 10 min walk. to Solmar. If you want to be close to the water taxi's and main beach then stay at Marina Sol or Cabo Villas-since you are going with your gf I'd probably stay at Cabo Villas as it has a kickass view and the rooftop reataurant does a good breakfast.


Also the Baja Cantina serves an all day happy hour with a sick $2 menu (Calimari strips, Tostadas, Nachos, etc...) and $5 per person will fill you up. (on the western end of the Marina's strip).

For a more authentic meal ask around for "Paisa's". It's a bomb taco stand 2 blocks off the main strip. I reccommend the Papas Mixtas which is Carni-asada and cheese in a huge baked potato and one of the best authentic plates in town. A papas, bean soup, tortillas, and a Tecate runs $5.

Noah the one bad thing about Solmar is your hotel will be a little bit away from the town. Its a long drunken stumble to your hotel if you stay there. I would go with Marina Sol or Cabo Villas for sure
