Don't worry everyone, this whole butt-sore epidemic over calling California "Cali" won't last too long -- it's just another fad, like emo.

It's really noone's fault that California became "Cali" -- we really can't tell if it was an outsider or someone from within the sacred boundaries of the state that coined the term. Nonetheless, the term exists, so deal with it. It's really not that bad, actually; it could be worse. Imagine if people called it "C-ya", or "Forny", or just simply " 'ia " (paying homage to the god-awful '80s abbreviation for pizza -- 'za!)

So, just for now, take it easy on the "Cali" term, so as not to ruffle too many feathers of the uber-cool locals. At least until the "anti-Cali-fad" runs its course.

And locals, try and be a little more lenient towards the tragically not-so-hip outsiders. The rest of the country has a hard enough time trying to keep up with the ever-so-quickly changing fads in hair-styles, girl jeans for guys, ways to wear a hat, hand shakes and slaps that keep you guessing every time you simply want to say "hi" to someone, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

btw, "sexy" is used. it's old. please find a new term.
