does the skim ever get good in sb? ive been considering ucsb for college, but i'm afraid i will die from lack of waves. (from what i hear).

Ive been up there and caught funnnn waves. Lots of liners, im not sure of any straight waves though. On the right swell and neg tide you can skim sandspit.

ya sand spit's good once in a while. the break right out infront of ucsb can be fun. these are all at ledbetter, its a liner that sometimes has a lil bit of a shore break around the back of the point.
you'll for sure get waves if you come, the only thing you have to worry about here is sand. rocks everywhere

like the angles and zoom alot,
higher iso might help with lighting a bit and just getting the skimmer in focus
