Okay I sold my board this winter and I need to invest in a new one, that is durable, fast, and gives good float...I have brought it down to a Vic Carbon and a Slotstik Pro Vac...but I have no experience with Vics or Slotties...any help would be great. I had an Exile Hybrid but it was too small and didn't float me.

I'm gonna say vic. I haven't skimmed either brand, but recently ordered a ml vic polyvac that I can't wait to ride

they are both good boards. Vics are heavier which can be good in wind. Slotties are light and turn pretty well

Also slotties are narrower like a paulo and have less rocker. They are lighter which sucks on windy days and are thinner at 5/8". Vics seem normal in shape and rocker. There also thicker at 3/4" and a little heavier which is a plus on windy days

interesting name. Whenever I skim hard my boner severely affects my running ability.

if float is what your looking for get a 3/4 thickness of either brand.. and run faster with or without hard on haha

I say Slot, because of the width verse lenght. They are narrower. They are thinner, provac that is. Doubt your some fatass chick looking to skim, so 3/4" verse 5/8" isn't a real debate issue. The flatter rocker will help with your speed. Unless your some track star at school.
If for no other reasons, Sticky Bumps surf/skim wax has always used Slots in their ads with super hot chicks laying near or on the board. Something about a girl and a Slotstik is just sexy and kinda punkish all at the same time.

I say Victoria because they care about skimboarding.
