Really a fun day on lake erie. I don't know how to embed vimeo but is there a thread that shows you how to do this.

props.
Looks cold ass hell.
You are the only one there (and getting some nice wraps/lines).
Looks like that is "fire" for Ohio.
So I gotta say, pretty cool.

actually you are right. I used to live on sanibel and then my parents decided that we should move to columbus ohio. I also used to live in san diego but I didn't skim when I lived there.

The waves were pretty consistent the whole time I was there. So that would be around 3 and a half hours. Towards the end I did find that the bigger sets were not coming in as often but the size didn't change much. The NOAA wave models that I always check showed around a 3 foot swell. I was really surprised that there wasn't much wind. Earlier on in columbus it was probably blowing 18 to 20 but when I got there it was almost glassy. I don't know if for some reason the wind was only blowing farther offshore because something has to be generating the waves and the waves wouldn't last very long if the wind died. I think the lake is just too small for the waves to stay up without wind.

That would be sick. There are a lot of rocks though. It doesn't look too bad in the video but right around where the trough is it is pretty bad. My board sustains some sort of damage every time I go there. You can just pm me if you decide to do that video.

sounds good man, it will probably be around fall because thats the only time waves are worth filming on the lakes. get a few good swells in the summer.. but more consistant in the fall and spring

I can try and get some more footage if I can get a weekend when another swell comes through. I'm always checking the swell models so hopefully I can find something.
