I updated the forum to a newer version. There may be some new hiccups associated with this update, so if you run into anything that doesnt work or doesn't look right, please let me know.
Thanks.

Do you also control dns for skimonline? Why not point forums.skimonline.com to the new IP? Or at least give it a name instead of the ip? Just curious

because then it will becomee blocked for people who browse somb at work, which is alot.

skimonline.net should now work. I have been waiting for various things to propogate.
http://skimonline.net/forum/
I dont *think* I can do the subdomain like you said on a separate server, but I could be wrong..

cool, skimonline.net/forum works for me... the subdomain piece to skimonline.com would be the same as you pointing skimonline.net to 64.50.169.119, you would add that sub domain name to your domain registrar (http://www.000domains.com) , and point that name to the 64.50.169.119 IP address

cool, thanks for the tip. I think skimonline.net should work nicely however. and will work well when I eventually merge skimonline.com with skimonline.net.

I don't really think that's an issue. It's just as easy to add an IP to a network blacklist as it is to add a domain name. It's not like the IP changes or anything so it's the same thing either way.

i kind of liked the skimboarder silhouette next to each forum. now they are just the bulletin boards. but good news is that all of the different url's are working fine for me.
edit: i get this every time i post- "This post is a duplicate of a post that you have posted in the last five minutes. You will be redirected to that thread."
then it just redirects me. also, when you want to edit a post, it takes you to a different, seperate edit page instead of just the edit box that used to pop up around the post.
ben i pmed peluso about that. so if anyone has that problem with the duplicate post post it in this thread

What browsers are you using?
what do you mean when you say "half the information is gone"?

so far, every single time. im on firefox 3 on windows. when you go to the profile there is no average posts per day, no referals, and all the additional information is gone.
edit: i just posted 2 times w/ out the duplicate thing also what i mean by the edit being different is that it takes you to a new page instead of staying on the original page and editing there.
about every 3 for me, mozilla firefox
it happened there. if you dont no what i am talking about i can screen shot it next time it happens

I got a couple duplicate posts, but I was at school on the shitty wireless connection and I'm guessing that's why it happened. I'm at home now and things are smooth.

Looks like the post count per day and referrals are missing from profiles.

I get it with every post. Also, when I tried to edit a post earlier to add white text, it wouldn't let me. Tried multiple times.
Does it work in quick reply?
EDIT: With that post it didn't give me a dup. post warning. It went straight to "forum requires 37 secs between posts", even though I posted well over 2 minutes ago (same problem, different response)

I really hate how you can't see what other people are doing now.
I sort of liked that feature as "conformation" of someone receiving a comment in a thread or checking their Private Messages.
