if you hadn't watched the season, and just saw last night's show, you would wonder how in the hell Taylor won. Every time they sang together Kat blew him away. The problem w/ Kat is she's not as confident as she should be given her talent, and she's not sure who she is as a singer. She often sings songs that don't complement her style well. Taylor knows who he is as a singer and is more consistent, in that sense. But as far as singing ability goes, there's no competition.

America would have tired rather quickly of McPhee's blatant pretenciousness.

Why on earth would she sing so many songs either on her ass, knees or laying down?

because she could pull it off, that's why.

i'd much rather have to look at mcpheever's cruves for the next year than taylor's hair and seizure dances. i can't stand that fantasia chick either. p.s. american idol blows, because america has shit for taste in music.

IMHO, she only pulled it off once, every other time was a big yawner.

id rather go to a taylor concert than mcphee. there hasnt been a motown singer in a while and there are enough mcphees out already. also, the last 2 winners were girls so they pretty much had to go with a guy.

i wouldn't pay to see either sing, however:

mcphee = incredible boobs, hot face, and bouncy fun sex hair = +3
taylor = boobless, old man face, salt and pepper hair (and seizure dances) = -4

p.s. if taylor was an interesting performer it wouldn't matter, but his joe crocker impersonation does nothing for me

I never said McPhee would be a better show to see, just that she has a LOT more singing ability than Taylor (Am I going to have to bust out the link?) I really wouldn't care to see either in concert. Elliot should have won, hands down.

Ok here's what I mean: this is Kat in her element, she should have been singing more songs like this.

http://www.nothingtoxic.com/media/1138345200/American_Idol:_Katharine_McPhee

unfortunately, she kept making song choices that didn't complement her style very well. As a result, her confidence was shaken big time the first time she got a bad review from the judges, and she was noticeably more nervous as the weeks went on. Taylor, however, knew who he was, and wasn't afraid to get a bad review from Simon. He's much more of a performer, he cared more about crowd reaction than judges' opinions. Still couldn't hold a candle to her, vocally speaking. You gotta love a guy that wins american idol and plays a harmonica in the finale.

The final 3 were in my 4 favorites from the beginning, the only one missing was Paris, who should have made it further.
