I'm at a great university, and most of my fellow classmates including me smoke marijuana often. I do my work everyday and study often as well. Weed will not fuck my life up, and if i'm busy, i just don't smoke. It just isn't harmful, i'll stop later in life, but it's something i do right now, and it has not hampered me in any way. So yes i strongly disagree with the validity of their claims.

Ok, let's just switch weed with "after school sports" or "video games". Lots of people get d's, normally because they are doing other things or just don't do well in school. It is not solely smoking's fault

Yes, the other 3 guys had decently well-off families, but that doesn't change anything. It's called student loans. eh, I kind of tested this myself for a while with psychedelics, and my conclusion was while it allowed me to open parts of my mind I probably wouldn't have otherwise, I could have probably opened those parts of my mind via natural means had I taken the time (i.e. meditation), and saved myself some money, uncomfortable social situations, relationship strain, and mental stress caused by the risks I had to take.

one in millions??? I was taking bong hits of some serious dank with my stoner friend when he got the phone call from the school telling him he got valedictorian. In my house of 5 in college, there was me (B.S. Math Sci/Comp Sci), a B.S Nutritional Biochemistry/PhD Pharmacology, B.S. Biostatistics (I believe he went somewhere for his masters too), B.A. Biology (we used to joke his B.A.)/PhD Biology, B.S. Pharmacy. It's not what drug they care about, it's whose is a line from a Todd Snider song. Basically he is making a statement that the war on drugs isn't to keep kids off drugs, but to keep the money making drugs (alcohol and nicotine) in the hands of people.

Goes back to Corporatocracy. You see, the government is run by big guys with big roles in big companies... these guys are major share holders or get major support from the alcohol and nicotine folks. They also get to excise tax these guys and double dip on collections.

Had a friend that grew in college... The plants were primarily for personal consumption between him and his roommates, but one night he sold a couple grams to a friend of a friend, just as a favor. The kid got caught and rolled on my buddy. Ruined their lives for a while.


Long story short... if you grow and sell, you will get caught. If you grow and enjoy, you will profit much more in the end.

Haha luckily we didn't have any shadeballs coming over. Basically the 2 other guys of the 3 in our house (I'm excluding the one that sucked at selling ;)) worked their way further and further up the totem pole in town till anything good was coming through our house. Between the 5 of us we had a huge group of friends/acquaintances that were eventually coming to us for it, so the amount of people coming over that weren't already our friends was small. There were 1 or 2 but if they seemed shady they'd stop selling to them. Now going to get it, that's another story. There were a couple of sources that were shadyish. Actually all those are true stories.
Mine too, we smoked mad weed on a roadtrip and got lost in downtown Baltimore. Since I doubt anyone here has ridden through the bad part of Baltimore here's some pics I googled which pretty much sum up my experience.

In fact pretty much every building looked like the 3rd picture except boarded up windows and still occupied. So we roll up to the gas station, some 14 year old kid rolls up on a bike and is like, "HEY, Give me 5 dollars." Motherfuckers were walking out of the store drinking 40's in broad daylight and hanging out on the corner in front of the station. I walked inside and got directions from 3 middle aged black dudes behind the counter, all with the name tag Muhammad. Shit was trife, every dumpster was like RIP Shorty Gee, RIP GhostDog, RIP Lil' Cripple, fucking covered in that shit. I did fine smoking every day, a little while back. (Fine being I got good grades, my parents and teachers and friends liked me, I still hung out with my best friends (who barely smoked, if at all) all the time, etc.) And now i take medications (all prescribed), so my life is not the same, and i've had a few panic attacks, whereas i've always been a really really chill person. so now i can't smoke like i used to because of my medications. that's fine, i feel like my life is just as good (weed didn't smoke me), and i still smoke once a week or so, but only in confortable situations. I haven't had a panic attack since I started my new course. But I feel like a different person now on all my medication. Anyways, **MORAL OF THE STORY** is that drugs (like real drugs/medications, that are chemically made) can fuck you up if they're mixed wrong, and that soooo much stuff is more dangerous than weed... it's ridiculous.

If people are worried about the real problem drugs of the future, this is it right here. Pills get you seriously fucked up, and they are incredibly easy to take, which makes it easier to OD on them. If your blowing coke up your nose you'll eventually know when to stop (I'm assuming this from stories from others because I've never done it and never will) but you can pop 10 pills and not think twice. I had my one pill experience, 2 xanies and an oxy. I felt wasted just without the dizziness, I was goofing around my house in a stupor. I then don't remember passing out and pretty much blacked out, almost as bad as on some of my worst nights drinking. Fuck that, I'm not trying to have hours of my memory erased. Pills are scary

i agree with your second part and sort of agree with your first part. the problem is that the friend doesn't know of any other variables that may contribute to the friends changing. the friend doesn't know EVERYTHING going on in the person who's smoking's life. if that makes any sense...
