but we are posting a bunch of pics in separate threads only because we had something about 10 days of sick conditions for skim in rio de janeiro and we filmed and took pictures almost everyday... but now big swell arrived here and we wont have good waves for at least a few weeks ( i think) so we probably wont have so much pics

I don't think you guys really gave this thread a chance. There was another Brazil picture thread the very next day. One consistent thread will get a lot more attention and stick around longer than a bunch of small ones. Just because you get a bunch of media doesn't mean you have to show it all at once. You could have saved some for times like now when conditions aren't ideal and maintained the focus throughout the entire season.

Try asking an admin to change the title to Brazil Picture Thread, it might help a little.

but the waves arent so constant there...
its needs a small swell to get good for skim... with a medium swell the waves break really far from the sand but they are good for surfing though

The beach has constant waves, but not like that. But also its not rare.

The "Pico" ( name we gave for the beach) break like that very often especially on the winter ( mid of the year ) but the problem is Rio das Ostras is a very windy city so you should wake up early to get good waves...

But we are pretty lucky to have like 8 "sometimes good for skimming" beaches 1:30 hour or less from our houses.
Now that's summer,things are getting more and more constant,but there is also the crowd.Not only skimmers crowd(sometimes there is not skimmers crowd),but the tourists and people in vacation going to the beach crowd.It's not as easy as it seems.I'm not complaining,as I sad ,we're so much freakin lucky !Oh forgot to mention sununga,but only because it's 6 hour away from here.

no... the trindade pictures are actually pretty old... 4 years or so... it's from when i first discovered what skimboarding really was! hehehe

trindade is as hard place to get good conditions though... we got those waves there when it was flat everywhere else... so it might have worked in the last couple of days cos the swell has been really small around here... but i doubt it will work anytime besides the really small swells of january and february...

if u leave on tuesday morning u can still get here in time for a early wednesday session at sununga... hehehe
