lost my skimboard at shell beach, SLO

i just realized that i left my board at shell beach last night around 8:30 at night after skimming high tide at silver shoals. I went there this morning and it was already gone. If anyone in the SLO area sees someone riding a carbon hybrid exile, carbon fiber top yellow bottom with white black a white pads or if anyone found it please give me an im. Thanks alot. It was still in really good condition and i cant afford to buy a new board.

if anyone finds out who has it or sees someone riding it and takes it for me ill give them 20 bucks. I know its not much but its at least some incentive and i know this is kinda a longshot....but i feel there cant be more than 20 exile skimboards in slo no one skims here.

i didnt forget it at the beach itself....i walked up to my car to change out of my wetsuit and put my board on the grass next to my car while i changed wiped down the board and such put my wetsuit in the trunk then i guess i closed the trunk and got in my car forgetting to put in the board that was near the passenger side of my car in the grass. I really dont know how i forgot it, i always check to make sure i have it....im super pissed at myself
right now.

I know how that feels, being pissed at yourself for doing something like that. This winter I broke my wrist and in all of the chaos I lost/somebody stole $1000.00 worth of ski equipment.

So I'm guessing you were at/near the cliffs hotel, have you checked the local hotels front desks. They might have picked it up in the morning. I don't know but it might be worth a try. where do you normally skim in slo?

That kinda sucks my friends did that once but ended up running over it but atleast it still worked it was just kidna scratched i guess

What really sucks is that the person who found is probably some random kid who rode by on his bike and is never even going to skim on the board. Therefore its gonna be tough to find it if the person who has it doesnt even skim. But none the less goodluck with finding it man.

The exact thing happened to me in Bodega. Left it in the grass by my car. A surfer found it and left it at a local surf shop. I was lucky someone cool found it.

Check the local surf shops, ebay, craig's list etc, good luck.

Dude I was at Shell Beach last night. I didn't see you thought that's weird. Anyways I'll keep my eyes open for it. I'm probably going back sometime soon. Hey at least the waves were amazing yesterday at least i thought.

thanks yeah anyone who skims just keep a look out for it and yeah the waves have been pretty good the last few nights. It wasnt close enough to the hotels for any hotel staff to pick it up it was over by silver shoals. Maybe i will try downtown pismo and check out the surf shops and see if anyone turned it in but im doubting it. Im guessing some kid who doesnt skim most likely has it.

Hey, I live in San luis also. I haven't been to Shell in a while, but I am planning on going Saturday. If I see a board like it, I will definately let you know.

What sizes have the waves been lately? What's the slope like?

i just stopped by shell to check it out and iwas decent. some lil liners but the beach is getting flatter i think.. i was lookin at it from up on the cliff.
i go by there all the time teddy, this same thing happened to my buddy but with a snowboard at sierra summit.. I was the one who found the dumb sh** who stole it.
i think if some surfer picked it up it might be gone but if a kid or a retiree did you got a shot.

checking craigs-list, ebay and all that is a great idea.

I JUST GOT MY SKIMBOARD BACK!!!! went to the police station to see if anyone turned it in and a cop had picked it up the night that i left it at the beach. It got pretty dinged up but i have it back!!!! Now its time to repair this i just bought some resin.

yeah i was really suprised. I guess he surfs and he knew about exile skimboards too...because the writing was mostly covered up by my pads but he still new it was an exile. I'm pretty psyched i really didnt think i would get it back i had already priced out how much a new one was going to cost me and was not too excited about it.

no high tide is too late tommorow like 10:30 p.m. it doesnt look like there will be decent skim for a while. The day time High Tides are getting too low.
