What do you use glen? And andrew, you use Surfline right? Their charts look good, but it just seems like no site is right more frequently than another. Recently I started just checking all three I know of.

O an rogers could've been good with the right slopes. It wasn't, I was very cold, and I had to wait half an hour for a ride back. still fun? yes.

Hey just wonder how cold the water and air is down there? I'm from Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada and get some pretty decent skim but its usually hella cold....like 5 degrees to - whatever

waters like 45, air's like...30ish(fahrenheit) water will probably get 2-5 degrees colder by the end of the winter and the air will probably fluctuate between like 15 if its exceptionally cold and 45ish till prob march.

Yeah true, we still had fun. There were some small 1-2ft lines at rogers with flat-ish slope. Not great skim, but fun to practice tech and that shiz.

O yeah, I almost forgot, it was FUCKING COLD haha. Maybe I don't remember the depth of winter last year, but it was probably the coldest I've skimmed. Mike's entire hood cinch string was an icicle. HELL YEAH CRAZY WINTER SKIMMZ

Yum yum skim today at jetty. The slope's doing well. A little mushy/short pd, but it was relatively good sized and not too choppy. Nice bs and fs wraps and short fs lines coming in on the right side. I have some pics, imight post em up.

Tried out Road i today. It was semi-uneventful because of the choppy small swell, but we still had fun, as always. The slope's going well on the eastern part of Dune, so these swells coming up might hit us well... lets just hope those winds work for us.

O Cool. How's gilgo's sand? Sposed to be offshores tmo, but ankle swell says swellinfo. surfline says same.
Out here's been getting better, more slope and a steeper dropoff on road i. With that same sand formation, and the wsw swells coming, i'm feeling some backside lines. Monday/Tuesday we're supposed to get some offshores, but i'm not sure if the sand will hold. BUT maybe the west swell will bring sand in there towards shinney.

it's three years old, we have gotten a lot better since then, hitting up competitions around the east coast..

that video is just part one of a short movie, we have two out now, "Dro Binge" and "Dro Binge : Duece" We are working on our third this year. We are heading out to film in PR on Monday to film and just aquired two "GoPro" HD cameras.. Drilled our boards and everything. We are eventually looking to start a skim camp in the spring based in NYC and put skimboarding on the map.

@ WHB - it's all good, we get Skimmable swells over here occasionally, and we drive out whenever we can down LI, hitting up Riis park, long beach and other spots. We don't know of any areas really with any legit shorebreaks yet, Riis park being probably the sickest NY skim we have rode.

@ xenjoii - I love how fast it is you shut us down. Ability and connections are one thing, but it's about what you do with all that that counts.
