im actually in westchester. :( thats why i don't get a full suit because i wouldn't go enough in the winter plus my mom would not wanna drive me. my dad surfs but only rockaway beach which was crap after bill. in cape cod i was sponging in 55 no suit so i should be fine in a spring.

i usually skim cedar beach (in between gilgo and robert moses) because my mom likes the snack bar but i could go to jones, gilgo robert moses or someting. if i don't go on vacation over april break ill probobly go.

*disclaimer- i suck at skimming to begin with and to add to that i haven't skimmed since like october.

by mid May you should be fine with a wetsuit top or if youre a champ you can bareback it

this is just an idea. Someone should start a group on facebook where we can all get each others names (well know who we are) and there we can all post our cell #'s because from the looks of it we have people from east to western LI. This will allow us to make a few calls in the morning to see which spots are working and we can determine a good spot for a fun sesh

its a reg 3/2 oneill hammer long sleeve + leg I thought that was a spring suit but i guess thats just a regular wetsuit... I usually only last like 45 mins in this with my gloves... they may not be thick enough. 2 hrs is a pretty good amount of time I think i might have got that in once since jan. started but I couldnt feel most of my fingers after that

im definitely going to try to lower them down a little bit anywhere i go.

its awl good it was stupidly windy like the windiest ive skimmed since like dec. or nov.. we just ended up like skimming exclusively west to east the whole time and using the wind/windblown constant sider to our advantage for like 2 hrs.. fun but a bitch and the slope is ruined!

no problemio. went skimmin with the lil bro today, didnt wanna go but he convinced me. it was fuckin nice again today though! the sands building like a covey thing with a bar next to the jetty to form mas siders should be fun-funner as the week goes on if the wave erosion does its part. it was fun skimming while snow was falling, never done that before:D
edit: windy again though, just much beteer than last time so i wasnt even worried abt that

Jetty 4 is closer to the bridge than it is to cupsogue, it's probly like 6-7 min down the road goin 30 or 40mph. the sign on the left side of the road says "lashley pavilion" and that its a westhampton village beach. parking is on both sides of the road, but who'd park on the bay side in the winter?=)

yeap snowshoe. and i was in the park that day because the first day i was there it was just all groomed. no powder really so i spent most of my day in the terrain park. but the second day through the fourth day i was there i was going through the trees in 2-4 feet powder. i didnt wanna stop for a video because the conditions were just so amazing that i wanted to keep going, also my mom didnt wanna go in the trees to videotape me.
