lol..."You shale have..."
Lmfao...holy shit.
On a serious note it should be at least 50 and those 50 can't be random stupid posts just to get the post count up. They have to be a legit 50 posts.

it will cut down on the people who just come to spam the message board with 1 count and thats it.

personally, I could care less how many posts they have. Most people come on here just to sell a board. Doesnt mean they are any more or less trustworthy than someone who has 15 (or 50) fucking posts.
Second, the kookamungas are just going to come into off topic and make new threads...like the 10 on the front page that are a complete pile of shit.

well its a good way to moderate people who dont contribute to the online community by just posting forsale as there first post.
and second ive had alot of people with 1 post comment on my forsale thread and a deal not go through because of it.
So thats why i made this topic.

You make it sounds like we can just choose which posts should count for their total.

so who's going to vonlunteer to COUNT and DECIDE which posts count, for which user/s
They should have a post requirement to make a new thread in either the skimboarding or off-topic discussion, but not the for sale. Like beachbum said, some people just come on to sell a board and thats it. It will just lead to more spamming if they have to post.

Many forums use what I said. It's not like we're going to sit around and be like "Oh that post was stupid, doesn't count".
If some one joins to sale shit, they're going to be making posts in every thread and it's just going to be useless shit. It will be obvious b/c they'll get their 50 in 2 days of just sitting here posting crap.

how do you program a "legit" post into the system and not counting the "unlegit"?
I say it should be 35 or 50. But, there definately should be a minimum post requirement.

thats why i said 15.
So they contribute Something to this board and not just Buy my crap
or ill buy your crap and talk to you and make u think its sold and u tell someone els who also made u an offer that its sold then they fall through and back out and then that person who was 2nd in line got there stuff somewhere els and then your out of a sale

something to regualte befor posting in the forsale section
thats why i said 15.

thats fucking dumb.
it just so happens that the person that did that to you have under 15 post. Anyone over 15 post could of easily done the same. Would we be in the same situation if that person actually bought ur board? No.
i know a lot of other forums have a min post req to post in for sale sections, but theres no point. If someone wants to make an account to solely sell a board let them. Maybe they get hooked onto SOMB in the process, and maybe they dont.
15?
watch the forums get spammed the shit out of
i would have said it would be more sensible to base it on rep points

Ken,
It is obvious that this thread is a result of your frustration with your own personal for sale threads.
Personally i think it is the thread makers responsibility to moderate their own for sale thread. You cant make a thread and then disappear for a week, come back and expect for it to be in order. If you want your shit to sell then check the thread multiple times a day, answer questions, and give updates. If a deal falls through then post immediately that your item is still for sale.
From what i have seen this is how things get sold on here: Post multiple good pics, offer at fair price, answer all questions quickly, offer shipping options= sold.

IMO that is a very bad idea. i have been on forums that make post 5 times before you can do a certain thing. and in order to just do what i wanted i posted 5 bull posts like "1laksfj" "2lkajsfd" etc. I think that by making a rule like that we would only be giving ppl reason to post nonsense posts. many of them.

quality of posts > quantity of posts.

Don't mind what he says because he just won't do anything about your problem because you don't have any authority on this Message Board. Personally I think this is a great idea and I can see why you would rather sell a board to ZBR rather then someone who just joined that day with 5 posts. Well, all I know is that I rather would, and from what you said, you rather would.
edit : "It is obvious that this thread is a result of your frustration with your own personal for sale threads."
That's wrong because he said people were willing to buy what he had for sale, but he didn't want to sell it to them because he didn't trust them since they had just joined and wern't known.

hahaha nick you are so sad. You are frustrated that the entire MB dislikes you and negs the crap out of you. You post incredibly stupid things and troll constantly. Now you take random shots at me in posts here and there. You are wasting your time kid.

i kind of agree that the skimboards for sale thread shouldnt be a public "skimboard craigslist" for people who join the somb just to buy/sell boards. but then again what if a noob posts a really sick board for cheap? or someone with 2 posts wants to buy your board? i dunno thats just my opinion. i dont think its that big of a deal.
