Hey everyone
I was on here before as xcivicdx but i cant seem to login to it. I am having a baby soon and need to get some extra cash together to pay for first months deposit etc.

Up for grabs is a brand new, only used once Medium Carbon Sol with front and rear astrodeck pads. Along with the board comes a skimcity travel bag. I will have some pictures up soon. To get an idea of what the board looks like it looks just like this, same colors and all.

I purchased the board last year when I had the money and ive been working my ass off to save for the baby so I need to get rid of the board asap. I just configured a checkout thing at skimshop the exact same way I did when I purchased my board. Below is what you get:

Yea its just water, i had just washed the board etc because it had some sand on it and took the pictures and when i was re-sizing them for you guys I noticed the water spots and thought someone might not know what it was so i circled it and said it was water. Cmon someone buy this please :)

Well. I Know where your coming from, wanting to get your price for the board.
But if you REALLY want to sell it, you need to understand where the Consumers, are coming from.

First of all, you could probally sell each alot qicker if you spilt the two items up. Of course, if somebody wanted both you could still ship them together. But give them the option, don't force them to buy both.

Secondly, when the board is $380 and the pads are $50 BRAND NEW!
Then people think, dang that board is $410, when I can get it brand new for $430. They don't neccesarily want the bag, so it doesn't factor in.

and Last, no matter if you let it float in you pool, or ripped in Cabo with it. If the board has been used once its, its used. This is the a big deprecitaion.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I know you want to sell the board, and I'm trying my best to help.

more of the fact you never know what happend to it. not all people tell the truth. even though the board looks good you never know what could be wrong /w it. id pay an extra $100 on any high end board for a guarenteed perfection. Im sure everyone else agrees. Companies have guarentees, people dont.

1... Tear in carbon

2... Cracked- i've seen people make it look perfect /w car wax or clear nail polish

3... If any crack possibly water logged

There are always possible scenarios. And you can hide all of them.

Not saying he isnt but its just not guarenteed like buying out of a store/factory.....

I understand where your comming from. I sold my other exile to someone on this board and he was nothing but happy. You can see it has no wear on it. I just need to get rid of it. I might just ebay it.

How much are you people deducting from this board because it was used? Judging by the pics, it's new as hell, it's just nice and convenient with pads and wax already on it. You're out the door skimming, on what looks like a tough board. Also, the guy isn't looking for some money to put in his pocket and go splurge and do whatever shopping-wise, he's paying for his newborn. In my mind, show some respect atleast in his thread.

Think of it this way...a board is kinda like a car when it comes to depreciation. As soon as you drive it off the lot, a car's value depreciates at least 20%-25%. Even if you drive it 500 ft., its still a used car and the dealer will NEVER buy it back from you for the same price. It doesn't matter if you pull it off the lot nice and gently, or cook the rear tires and do a burnout, it's still USED.

Skimboards are the same way. As soon as that board hits the water, its a used board. It's sad but true. Just take that into consideration as people are making offers. In my opinion, I wouldn't expect to get more than $360 max. The $350 that Taylor offered is more than fair in my opinion. I know it sucks that boards depreciate that way, but that's life.

Just my opinion man, it's a great looking board and I hope you can cut a good deal on it with someone.
