I'm about 5'10''ish, about 130 lbs and I ordered a medium, but I skim in the gulf, where the waves aren't big. I'm assuming you skim at bigger breaks, so I would go for a MS, unless you think you will outgrow it fast, then go with a medium.
Or if the waves aren't that big/strong, go with a medium

Get the MS. Im 6' 150lbs and I have a MS Paulo. I kinda feel like I could pull off the small but Paulo himself told me the MS looked the right size for me. I would tell you to get the small, but if you have to ask you dont sound like your that experienced so maybe the MS would be better for you. Definately dont get a Medium that just sounds too big for you.

ive had a foamie (not the plastic bottom one) for about a year and a half and am looking for more float and manueverability in a board. thanks for the help so far

i skim there too, mine is a 5/8th small, i really like the feel of a 3/4 board tough, it feel like i have more control under my feet, good for float too, but i did notice it kinda sucks as far as manueverablity. ive had no problems with float though with my board, plus its not like you have to go out too far for waves.
