I wasn't going to post a thread since I know nobody cares but I'm on top of the world right now and I have to vent. I've skated the bowl at Mt Trashmore probably a dozen times and haven't been able to get comfortable in it whatsoever, and last time I took 1 run and said f' it because it was so bad. This has made me sad and I have cried many nights. This weekend my 2 brothers (who are both awesome tranny skaters) took me on a mini OBX tour to a few diff places, including the Y, Pat Clark's miniramp, and the 'Cheese bowl, and I probably took about 10 steps forward just in one half day alone. I dropped in on the deep end of cheese bowl (10.5 ft w/ 1.5 ft of vert) and was carving it like I've never carved before. Yesterday I went to the Trashmore bowl and attacked it with a mentality like I never have, and immediately, first run, 2 hard pumps on the pocket wall a long carve around the bowl section. Already 10x better than the best run I've ever had on there. After a half hour of carving around and shit I did a frontside 5-0, first time I've ever hit the coping in that bowl or on anything that size (7 ft), and then pumped out (which I've also never done) and was so stoked I wanted to go buy an old lady an ice cream or beat up a dog or something. Anyway I'm fucking stoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooked and wanted to vent. Late.

Oh yeah here's a pic of the Wanchese bowl, it's a work of art (10.5 ft in the deep end):

If I could skate that every day I'd be a happy man.

man all desire to street skate has just about gone out the window now that I can skate a bowl without looking and feeling like a complete noob. I wish we had more around here.

it's 7 ft w/ what looks to be a 7 ft, maybe slightly bigger transition. After riding the wanchese bowl I see how tight this bowl is, the bowl in that first pic I posted is actually a lot mellower to skate.

That's sick. Both of those bowls look really fun. I remember the first time I skated a pool I never wanted to look at a street spot again. haha. It's just so fun. I've never gotten to ride a bowl yet though, but from everything I've heard it's WAY mellower.

7 ft tall with 7 ft of tranny, wouldn't that be straight vert?

edit: because I have a 4'5 mini with 7 ft tranny and it's not mellow at all

7 ft w/ 7 ft of tranny means the wall's a perfect quarter-circle. So the tangent of the coping point would be a straight line, up and down. But no point on the wall would actually be vertical. If you have a 4'5" mini w/ a 7 foot tranny it's pretty mellow considering, but because it's small it probably doesn't seem that mellow just b/c it's small.

I do nothing but skate pools / minis. I dislike street skating, I mean I like watching it and some of the tricks are pretty cool. However, skating a pool just looks so much better because you flow so sick.

These are the bowls I skate:

And the mini I skate:

I can pump that wooden one like no one's business, flowing so perfect I love it. I can do little backside 5-0 coping smacks and 50-50's but I haven't really tried anything big tricks on it. Although on the mini I can do a lot, blunts, reverts (which I just learned), front side 5-0's, backside 5-0's, you name it haha.

that wooden one is almost a mirror image of the shape of the one here (2nd bowl I posted above) even though it might not look like it because of distortion in the photos

Love that bowl. Drop in on the vert ramp, have some fun on that. I haven't been to trashmore in around 2 months, i miss my vert.

haha totally.

No, I don't have pics of myself on the bowl yet, Corey's friend. Besides, that kid's riding a popsicle stick, my shit's 10"x33", Indy 169's, OJ Team Rider 61mms. Plus that's clearly summertime and it's clearly March right now.

the 30th Street park was circus today. Bob Burnquist, Brian Patch and a couple skaters I didn't recognize had filmers, photographers, and strobes setup all over the keyhole. Stoked me out because although we didn't session the bowl nobody else touched the snakerun the entire time we were there.

Brian Patch is a killer. I'd like to see him skate in real life.
