Im looking to get a new skimboard. Ill probably end up buying a Zap Wedge, but I would rather not pay a whole lot of money so I have been looking around and I have seen a few Meyer Hybrid boards that are cheap compared to the Zaps. The descriptions of the boards are vague as far as what they are good for, waves? just sand? tricks? I know they are part wood part foam. Are they heavy? Anybody have one of these boards or know what they are capabe of? Thanks for the help.

Do you succumb easily to peer pressure?
Are you able to say you own a Meyer and take the ensuing laughter in stride?
Do you skim less then once a week? (In season)
Do you really not want to save up another 50 bucks to get a Wedge?
Are you just testing the sport out?
Do you like lurking the message boards better than skimming?

If you answered yes to any of these, then buy a Meyer. If not, do yourself a favor and get a Wedge.

No kidding... My first board was a wavezone and I was done with it in 3 months.

I did research before getting my second board... it helps
