Alright, call me gay. Fine. And I thought these things were pretty gay too, until I rode one.

Riding it was actually really, really fun. I basically stole my friends and found a bank, and it was really close to wrapping a skimboard. They are just two wheels, so in theory you can sideslip, but you end up drifting one direction. I was amazed at how close it was to skimming.

You can also sort of pivot around one wheel, so you can be cruising along, whip out your tail, and loose a ton of speed. Kind of like a stall if you think of it that way.

I definetly recommend trying one out. But find some town that none of your friends live in because you are garenteed to look like a kook. As long as you can get past that part, you'll have a ton of fun.

Bro this was so last christmas... but sick anyway. i Was pumped to get one last christmas, and its still fun, just a little bit less excitiong after riding it for a while. I'm not sure about the ripstik, but i have the wave and even if you try to push it completely sideways with your hands, if won't work, the wheels won't turn at that angle. And i agree with you that it is farely close to skimming in some aspects. Days with no waves call for me too do a little imagining while riding "the wave"

It was $50 on sale on Black Friday. Definetly worth it.

Sick on the D40, Ammyskim. You'll love it.

Haha, yeah. I was thinking about that. Would be fun.

There is this huge QP/bank at my local park too. I bet it would be sick.
