if it's "both" it's a TV capable of setting a computer up to, generally used for a Media Center, so it's a tv "broham"

Yeah, it hooks up to my computer so its a monitor. Your symantics argument is almost as good as your sarcastic use of quotation marks, broham.

I wish it were mine, its my office monitor. My boss came to me last year and said we were way under budget and would loose money next year if we didnt spend it all so I was like "Plasma Screens would be nice." and the next week I got my 54 inch monstrosity installed in my office. And we all lived happily ever after, the end.

it's a tv, matty. see the native resolution? a computer monitor, or LCD, has a much higher native resolution, whereas most tvs have that same standard resolution.

Most HD plasma's yes.....I defy you to tell the difference between standard HD native res 1366 x 768 and 2500x1600 at 54 inches the difference is even more neglegable at 31. It does however start to matter if you rock something like this http://www.i4u.com/article2531.html

i think the difference is glaring. when you're looking at trying to cram two internet explorer windows into desktop real estate that is 1366 wide, as opposed to two at 1600, you can totally see the difference.
if you work in any programs or anything, the same problem comes up. it's like working on a 1024x768 monitor...you can't see shit, everything is huge and you have to zoom way the fuck out on images to work on them. when you go from a 21 inch monitor to a 27 inch tv, the monitor running at 1600x1200 and the tv at 1366x768, you're going backwards in terms of screen real estate. you have less pixels to fill on the tv, even though it's bigger.
hope that make sense.

no I know what you mean bigger area less pixels means bigger pixels....I just dont care about rasterization on windows. As for video its perfect, i dont play Quake or anything on it but motion graphics/video my tv/monitor it works just peachy.

it's a hybrid laptop/desktop or basically a portable desktop or semi portable laptop. Pretty cool actually, a lot of power, huge screen, full sized keyboard, great sound system.
