Go into thread.

hit EDIT. hit GO ADVANCED. you are given the options of editing your title field and/or editting your text field.

: )

on a side note, deleting a thread you created is not possible without being a mod/admin, but replying in someones thread gives you the possiblity of deleting your message later by hitting EDIT, then DELETE.

i never understood it...having a delete button for a threadstarter would unclutter the board with threads by
1) people who accidently create two threads of the same thing (hitting the button twice because their page doesnt load quick enough)
2)people who get thier answer to an easy question with a first reply that is a fact answer and not opinion (i.e. Q: how can i contact exile. A: info@exileskimboard.com or call the shop at _______)
3) people who get made fun of with a question and want to hide their stupidness (i.e. Q: whats the use of wax for????? A: youre an idea...get out of here!!!!)
4) people who get the ALREADY POSTED rant (i.e. i post a video. reply: already posteedd 6 times!!!!)
5) people who made a thread and found out its against the rules (i.e. the many board building threads we get)
6) people who get the USE THE SEARCH BUTTON, then search and find their answer...(i.e. Q: whats better a wedge or foamie A: SEARCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :link: :link: :link: :link:)

I call for a THREADSTARTER delete thread feature.

but if anyone can delete their threads then they can be deleting other peoples posts that are within that thread.

i think they should make it so after a certain amount of time the thread cant be deleted, like after a day or so

but i think a thread delete option would help a lot with all the stupid threads

i think they should make a group of people who can delete threads, and they can handle stuff like that. we could call 'em mods or admins or something...that'd be sweet. it would eliminate the possibility of random people abusing the delete thread power and really just eliminate the headache of implementing a feature no one needs.

oh, and just double click to the right or left (just not on the actual title that will link you into the thread itself) and you can edit the text of the title of the thread.

once a thread is started and people start contributing to it, it is more than just the thread starters thread. It doesnt belong to him anymore, and he shouldnt have the ability to delete everyone's posts.

Currently I beleive the thread starter has delete capabilities for five minutes after the thread is created (in case of duplicate threads etc). After that it takes a moderator or admin to do it, of which there are currently four.
