yeh i remember this, the Loose Change douchebags snicker and laugh everytime the Popular Mechanics guys make a valid point, while the Popular Mechanics guys dont interrupt while the fuckwits are talking.

EDIT: also, did anyone else think her 30 second ramble at the start, naming all of those TV stations, while barely taking the time to breath, was pretty impressive?

the conspiracy theorists were literally ridiculous i cant believe they were even allowed on tv.....did anyone else notice how huge there eyes get when they tried to make points. It just shows that they are feeding off emotion and not fact. Not to mention all their "facts" were just that agencies wouldnt talk to them.

It seems like they didn't even fucking research anything. They just say, oh cell phones don't work. How do you fucking know if you haven't researched. The coroner didnt find any plane, or blood. Then they say they could never talk to him. So basically they are just making all this shit up, and pissing off a lot of people.

I always said it was retarded and never believed it, but the dudes are great bullshitters. You have to wonder if the guys believe themselves, or they are just in it for the attention/money..

It is just sad that the guys are creating this hoax about an event that killed thousands of Americans and ruined the lives of their families (and economy).

great debate. i found the clear winner, did you? I like how the loose change guys pointed out how PMics is part of the Hearst company which owns a shit ton of every kind of media. when they say don't believe everything you hear on TV, well Hearst is everything you hear on TV. Also all that bull that the loose change guys are feeding of emotion and not fact, well how many times have you gotten into a heated arguement and let a little bit of emotion come out?

it was clear to me the pop mechanics guys were primarily interested in intellectual honesty, with attention to reasonable journalistic processes, whatever the outcome. their methods of research seemed legitimate. their comments seemed intellectually honest and their intention seemed honest and reasonable.

so why is the hearst comment even relevant?

and i had to smirk when that one pop mechanics editor said the loose change guys were using a discovery and argument process that mirrors young earth creationism. i was thinking the same thing.

the way they were talking and presenting their case, the loose change guys just seemed like research/rhetoric newbs to me. after seeing them interviewed, their process doesn't seem that persuasive at all.

seeing liberal things like this reminded me of a funny article in the school newspaper.

it was about this 9 year old that stayed an extra day in gainesville to protest the war. i have to think the columnist meant to portray her badly because he/she didnt edit any of her quotes that seemed blatantly childish. about halfway through the article, it made mention of "one of her two moms," which made me LOL on the bus home, and it helped explain a lot.
