Dream is a work in progress, here's the list I've got going in my head:
Take my car I have now ('86 Jeep Cherokee)
Drop in:
350 LS1 Engine (Fuel injected)
nv4500 tranny
Atlas 4.3:1 T Case
Coilovers front and rear
Long arms for both
Trussed out Dana 44 up front
Spidertrax Ford 9" in back w/ discs
Mickey Tompson 38 Baja Claws
On American Racing beads (black)
Hydro assist steering
Exo/Interior cage
Assorted armor parts
Have to cowl the hood to fit the engine
Offroad lights (lots of 'em!)
Setting up a smokescreen would be fun and easy.
Already have a CB, but I need a louder PA for it.
Pretty much, my buddy was drawing his dream car during class the other day, so I drew this:

why the fuck would you drop a chevy engine in a dodge.
IceJ, did you ever see that MTV cribs car edition where Scott Storke (Sp? He's a white guy rap producer) was showing off his Bugatti? It was crazy. I never knew taht there is actually 2 ignittion switches in that thing. One in the traditional location which releases something like 600hp and then there is a second one on the floor that when turned on releases anothter 1000hp or something like (i'm bullshiting the numbers because I dont recall the exact numbers that he said). When both ignitions are activated though, at full speed you'll burn through a full tank of gas and a whole set of tires in 12 min... Fuckin crazy...

Yea, you need 2 different keys. The one on the floor lowers the car a couple inches and utilizes the maximum horsepower. Really an amazing thing.

If its your dream car I guess you dream maybe 500 times a day because thats all i see on the road, minus the minor tweaks they put to the "concept." you sure?why would it be a big deal?and i think the motor thats in the 350z is the same as g35
Matty Kerns, that is technically the new Nissan Skyline GT-R. Nissan has decided to just label it as the GT-R though. So I guess Nissan Skylines are out... Nissan GT-R's are in

or a shelby cobra
or a 40-60s classic chevy truck
I second the classic Truck Beachbum. I'm not partial to Chevy or Ford, it would largely depend on which model and year I was able to find a good buy on. I have been seriously considering this more and more lately. That or if I stumble upon a ridiculous deal on an old CJ or Willy Jeep. If I did, the Jeep automatically trumps the classic truck in my book...
That video is long as shit its two parts but its worth the time. Twin turbo ford gt 1012 hp.
Yeah, Joe's car is nuts - Torrie has a TT conversion here in St. Augustine too. Dwight at Stage 8 who did some of the development work did a H/C setup for me a LONG time ago.
okk...what im saying is it a g35 tub and chassie and jsut modifications to it,or maxima coupe i guess either or same shit
It's a significantly different car than the G35 platform - FYI, the VR38 engine in "standard" trim is over 500HP (estimates of 525) - there's also talk of a V-Spec with more carbon, slight power tweaks, better seating.
Looks like $66k-$71K.

Well, I agree that there's a little bit of fanboy-ism here in the US since we didn't get the car (in Japan and export regions, it's not a huge deal). The Supra is a close comparison (price, power potential, engine design, etc.). I'm not really even a fan of the R32-R34 design - I always thought the Z cars were much better looking.
I like they're using GTR since that's the "hot" version - there are Skyline sedans that are like Camrys. It will be interesting to see where a $70K GTR plays - I'm assuming they're going to keep them fairly low production.
any porsche besides a boxter will do it for me...

ledhed- when i said Americana, it had a postive connotation. it's just interesting to see the contrast between what people desire in places like california and florida, compared to tennessee.
keep in mind, i valeted for 5 years. naturally, the job made me very judgemental about people and the cars they drive -everything from the random shit in their cars, to the rims, color sheme, window tint, custom liscense plates, mods, etc. you could make a judgement about almost anything. it gives you something to do while parking the cars. i guess it's a similar to a restaurant server and the assumption they make about the people seated at their tables. i dunno, maybe you have to have valet'd to know what i'm talking about.
mattyd- a big body benz is a car for almost any successful businessman. maybachs, like bentley's, and RR's are for men on the Forbes 400.

yeah that curb rate has some people a little freaked out. Regardless the engineers have said from day one that this GTR will outperform all the past GTR's in every way. So it is still going to be a total bad ass. They also have taken into consideration the aftermarket these cars generate and have supposedly left much room for improvement. I cant wait to see one. Official release is at the Tokyo motor show in about 22 days.

I not 100% sold on the looks, but I like the intent - some of the design decisions are a bit disjointed, but it has a killer stance. The Audi-grill treatment bothers me, but it definitely makes an obvious differientation vs. G3X/350Z (by design, since they all share the same sillouette).
I'd like to see it in super black or dark metal grey (two actual colors - there's a Japanese orderform circulating) which would soften the grill area.
Let's just say I'm not uninterested and like the idea of having two AWD vehicles :D
BTW, +1 to everyone who listed the CGT and F430 - two amazing designs (the latter is a little more "usable").

For the money you guys spend on the McLaren and what not, I'd go with a combo of:
This sweety, modded up nicely:

And something along the lines of this, but with a killer suspension for these shitty roads:

And with my $800,000 left over, I'd build a nice house up on a hill on one of these islands. Or... scratch the mods and buy an island. hahaha. You're right though... the McLaren is probably a better idea.:D

ledhed- when i said Americana, it had a postive connotation. it's just interesting to see the contrast between what people desire in places like california and florida, compared to tennessee.
keep in mind, i valeted for 5 years. naturally, the job made me very judgemental about people and the cars they drive -everything from the random shit in their cars, to the rims, color sheme, window tint, custom liscense plates, mods, etc. you could make a judgement about almost anything. it gives you something to do while parking the cars. i guess it's a similar to a restaurant server and the assumption they make about the people seated at their tables. i dunno, maybe you have to have valet'd to know what i'm talking about.
I know exactly what you are talking about. I work in the restuarant business, a Dairy Queen to be exact. I can basically dissect a persons life based on what they order.
Hot Rich Women that have no job and mooch off of their husbands-kids vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles
Fat rich guys-Large orea blizzard vanilla ice cream
Fat middle aged women-Order low fat soft serve ice cream (eventhough all soft serve is lowfat) and then get a shitload of fudge on it and make it a large.
little kid that will be fat in 5 years-Large peanut butter cup blizzard, usually vanilla ice cream
fat little kids trying to lose weight-small chocolate cup
cool old guys from WWII era-small vanilla with hot fudge and wet walnuts
non-white people-Rum Raisin. no lie either, and i'm not trying to be racist.
We get all the koreans coming in on sundays also, they get an assortment of things.
You can tell alot about person by how they pay, the way they order their ice cream, and the tip they leave.

SW? I am not sure who he is, but he did one hell of a job taking care of that car. I can see my own relfection in it off the computer screen. Last time I was at costco I saw some chic oull up with a red supra, and it was dirty as hell and scratched. Part of me wanted to pull a GTA, and pull her out by the hair through her to the ground and casually drive away with the car.

1970 Buick GSX Stage 1:
4-Speed Close-Ratio Manual Trans
4.11 Gears
THE Fastest four seater American made car of its time.
Screw the 2.1 mil hemi cuda, this thing has nockout stying, crazy performance (370 rated hp, actually over 400 ---and a class leading 510 ft. lbs. of torque at just 2800 rpms). Plus its luxurious on the count that its a buick.

He's just a real well known guy in the car scene - that car is actually a '95 (97/98's will have dark grey inserts in the headlight housings, though quite a few folks upgrade, I did on my '94). He also had a single turbo SC300 conversion that put down some fast times.
Yeah, that was a cherry - it had a T72 single conversion, the super nice Fikse wheels and all original paint - I like the mild cosmetic upgrades (TRD hood, a Greddy lower lip extension, RMM rear wing).
DT has been around forever, so he pretty much knows everyone. You want to know things about your grandfather? Ask DT.

There are several prototypes circulating - I think we might see something at the Tokyo Motor Show on the 26th. There's been speculation about a Toyota, and/or a Lexus variant, with or without turbos, V8's, V10's, $30K mid market, $90K up market, blah blah blah.
Nothing concrete yet - some folks think Toyota is waiting to see how the GT-R pans out, since that was always the competition in the JDM.
Acura is also rolling out the new NSX (V10, nothing in common with the old platform), $100K, etc.

No copying here. That's by memory.I just knew all the facts and wrote them down. I've spent two years researching and studying cars from the sixties and early seventies. Just love the styling, performance of a big block, and how well the cars were put together. Plus you can't beat my GTO with a TWO SPEED auto trans. I love powershifting once- from low to high, and that's it.

The GNX of 87 offered the performace of a porsche, at a fraction of a cost. there were only a few hundred of these produced, and was an option on the GN for like 10k over the sticker price.

there nuts...listin to one if u ever see one jsut the hardist hiting stock turbo ive heard
A good buddy of mine has a GN - big turbo upgrade (like a PT70), lots of (drag) suspension work, 6 point cage - thing pulls 1.4x 60's, mid 130's - I believe he had dipped into the high 9's last time I talked to him. It's actually pretty docile on the street too ( I mean as big turbo, big stall cars go).

No, its a different car. You'd be suprised how many different variations for the common US car they have in Japan. There's about 4 different accord variations, then there's a car thats like an accord and a civic mixed together. And dont even get started looking at the different SUV's and Vans that those crazy folks make.
But no, the Euro R is a different variation. Its right hand drive, got different (sexy) body styling, and is generally a pretty nice piece of car. Thats just the Mugen modded one, I guess they're making some from the factory like that.
Here's some more info:
The Honda Accord Euro-R is powered by the K20A 2.0liter DOHC i-VTEC engine that makes 220 horsepower and 21.0kg-m of torque. The Honda Accord Euro R adopts the lightweight 6-speed manual transmission that offers highly responsive performance. An exterior design with accentuated sportiness throughout, including aeroform bumpers, honeycomb mesh front grill, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Also, springs, anti-sway bars, and bushings are firmer, and shock absorbers have been tuned for optimum damping. Its also got EPS like my car which is Electronic Power Steering - It controls the amount of power steering you get if you want to go into a touring mode, or a drag mode, its pretty sick...
P.s. To DT: I put my car in Tiptronic for the first time in like 4 months today. Boy was I missing something there. Its sooo much more responsive in tiptronic. I started down the highway in 1st and got to about 2000 rpms in 3rd gear at 120 km. Its not much, but boy did it feel nice to redline it. hahaha.
