God doesn't want me to have a Paulo

So I just switched jobs and got a massive raise, but was in for a big disappointment when my pay cycles from my old job didn't line up, and on top of that, instead of being paid for a time period ending 1 week prior, I got paid for a time period 2 weeks prior, essentially putting me in the hole BIG time (until the end of my contract period in Oct, when I guess I'll get an extra week's pay). On top of that, I have $800 in real estate taxes due on June 5th. So I end up having to do something I hoped to never have to do again, borrow money from the 'rents. No problem, I can pay them back when I get caught up in a couple months. But that means until I get them paid back, no Paulo, meaning probably not till August.

So last night my wife and I are outside for 10 mins with the dog, and we come back in and our house is flooded (busted toilet/plumbing problems). The laminate floors are literally floating in the areas where I hadn't gotten around to putting down quarter round, and the 2 carpeted rooms are gradually getting soaked from underneath. It took us 2 hours, every towel and unused blanket in our house, a lot of my mother-in-law's towels, and 4 bags of towels we went and got from K-mart to clean them up. Luckily, homeowner's insurance takes care of it all. Unluckily, I have a $1000 deductible. Also unluckily, I will have to pay to have a plumber come out and snake my pipes. The only good thing to come out of all of this is all new floors for $1000, and apparently I'm about to get a call from Mariott to set up a hotel I get to stay in until my shit gets fixed. I'm shooting for oceanfront. We'll see. So anybody want to donate a M Paulo to worthy cause?

if you weren't a new member, you would have maybe noticed for the last couple of the months I've been asking exile questions and then finally talking about ordering my board when I'd narrowed it down. It wasn't till the day before I was going to order that I found out I couldn't order it, and just when I thought I'd found a way to get it in a week or so, this happened. So this isn't me whining about not being able to get ANOTHER new board, because I've only had 3 boards total in a 15 year period, and the only high performance one I've had was bought 4 years ago. One of them had handles. This is me finding some humor in one scenario after another that seems to be telling me I don't deserve this board. Oh, and fuck off n00b.
