i just switched to pre-dental and i got the classes i am required to take so i can take the DAT.

BIOL 121-122 Gen Bio
CHEM 141-142 Gen Chem
CHEM 343-344 Organic Chem
CALC 151 (some say 152)
PHYS 243-244 (Calc-Based Physics)

Anybody here in dental school or pre-dental?

i'm in pre pharmacy and i have to take those classes too. gen chem was allright, but i hear ochem is going to be a bitch since it's the hardest science class you have to take during undergraduate school

I'm pre-dental, my chemistry chain is 5 semesters long, but I can make it 4 semesters if I can place well enough on the general chem placement test. I don't know if I should go for it or not, because I haven't had a chem class in over 3 years...

yeah, that shit is the heat. I had a friend who was in physics 24 & 25 (non calc) at the same time I took 26 & 27, and basically he'd be like "so the math works out in such a way that this acts like this" and I'd be like "yeah, would you like to see how that works out?"

i spoke with 3 advisers and they all say it doesn't matter because they take those science classes and they make that my gpa.

Also i don't want to be a dentist, i want to be an Endodontist

thats pretty muhc the same for every medical practice. there really is'nt a set "pre-med" major, you just take certain bio classes.

that's the first thing i learned at orientation. pre-med is a concentration, not a major.

saying you doing pre-med doesnt really mean much. It sounds cool, but in reality you are majoring biology or somother science. It counts after you prepare to take and pass the mcat, then you can say your doing med

yeah although I don't knock anybody who's pre-med, it means they're doing a rigorous concentration, but I agree until you've passed the mcat, it doesn't mean much. But that one dude tried to claim intellectual superiority in his first year pre-med.

I still condiser dentists doctors, they worked really hard.
but yea, when people ask me what I am majoring in I tell them biology to pre-med I dont say just premed. I have my scheduale infront of me and it doesnt look fun
