i was thinking of another useful addition we should add to these boards.
here it is:

if we as a group think a thread should be deleted, we could all leave a vote and after a certain amount of votes the thread is automatically deleted or a mod is contacted and decides whether or not to delete it.

this could be useful when SOMEBODY KEEPS MAKING USELESS THREADS OVER AND OVER AND IS CLUTTERING OUR BOARDS, MAKING OTHER RECENT THREADS GO UNNOTICED.

i like the idea. i understand they have the right to post but when it comes to the point where serious skimboarders that have threads that go unnoticed due to the pointless, unessary threads there is a problem.

I think it would just be a nuisance for the mods.

good idea. I vote for this thread.

haha, i knew somebody would say it.

I think it would just be a nuisance for the mods.

yeah i thought that too. but then i thought about different ways to use it.
we could have it so it doesnt go into effect till a certain portion of the people who viewed the thread have voted. like 7/8ths or or 2/3rds of the viewers.

and we could make use of rep for it. for example, you can only vote if you have at least X amount of rep points . X being the amount the original poster has.
or the more rep you have, the more power your vote. that way we can take pos and neg rep more seriously. run it like a democracy.

im not familiar with this message board script, but it shouldn't be to hard to program. just basic algebra.

if you can tell by my signature, i love math.

yeah, so every single thread you make will come to that.

btw solven, 2/3 is a lot. Some people view and leave..

2/3 of posters, would probably be better

A better solution would be a limit on the amount of new threads users can create in a given amount of time.

not a bad idea, but sometimes, those threads are good. this would only get rid of bad ones.

i think that would be better. face it, you dont need to make multiple threads in the same forum within a few days, especially in the skim forum.

Or you guys will get banned for breaking on of Aarons rules.hahaha on Personal Attacks..now that would be funny.
would aaron ban a group of individuals who have been here for a long ass time, who contribute to other threads, and can actually skimboard?

or one person who is creating the problems by spamming the forums? Making threads just to piss of the veterans?

hmmmhmhmhmmhmhmmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmmhmhhm,
