Get a salary cap and then try to do some ownage. Then you will get respect. That's why the country hates the yankees/red sox. It's an unfair game. MLB is closer and closer to having one, so it won't be too much longer. Don't try and tell me it's not fair either. You can love them all you want, I am just saying it's pretty sad that in the beloved sport of baseball you have a single player (A-Rod) making more money in a year than an entire team (Marlins).

My family is from New York so I like the Yankees...but yes the redsox are doing well, if the yankees had some reliable, decent pitching they would be destroying everyone as well.

Its not the rest of the leagues fault that we have so much money. Get some more diehard fans.....with $$$ who want season tickets, endless amounts of team merchandise and years of popularity!

Other people bitch cause their team sucks, I know I bitch when the Washington REDSKINS have a loosing season, which is like every year for the last bunch of seasons it seems.


The Red Sox built the ultimate bull pen, Dice K, Beckett, Wakefield, Tavares, Schilling one of the best around is on the DL currently and we are still winning.

We would have more diehard fans if we had names like A-rod, Jeter, Posada, Giambi, Soriano, Williams, Clemens, Pettite...I know not all those names still play for them but still, they drew crowds. I hate Clemens, even when he was in Houston I didn't like him.

Interesting fact, I saw Beckett pitch off my high school mound at a game when I was young. True story. Everyone went to hassle the phenom. Don't remember what happened, I was probably playing wall ball or something but I wish I would have payed more attention. I love watching him pitch. Almost as much as Roy Oswalt
