personally, i dont like the actual "speed waxes".
I just use mother's car wax, i only lists like 2 sessions, but its ultra slick and much cheaper.

i tried snowboard wax once or twice, didn't notice any difference, but i've had some slick speedwax that i keep forgetting to use, next time out im going to take a few rides and then put it on to compare, i'll report back whenever i get to the beach next, and since im broke and far from the beach, you might have to wait awhile for the results

last time i used eelsnot it worked fine for like 2 rides, then wore off, but that was a diffrent formula then what they are selling now

i skimmed for a long time without it, but now i applyit every session. it makes you go a tad faster but the main thing is you can drop the board anywhere. you can even drop it on dry sand before youve even got close to the water and it will still slide. i love it because my deep water drops suck so the slick speedwax insanely improved what waves i can catch.

tried the slick speedwax for the first time today, didn't really notice much difference, i don't think i used enough, and once i started skimming i didn't feel like letting my board dry and then putting more on, hopefully it will work better next time
