Pomponio State Beach

I used to skim at this beach when foam boards were a new thing. There are many large shore breaks in the 4-6 ft range. Can get quite insane if a storm is brewing. A gnarly place to skim a good wide beach with a steep incline makes it a good takeoff into the 2-4 foot waves. An excellent spot on weekdays no crowds. nice steep beach is a good take off to the 3-4 foot waves during high tide is the best where as it can get to be almost 7 feet with good tight barrels.
