2011 Exile Taiwan Contest

Paulo Prietto, Steve Taylor, Harley Nelson, Anna Prophet and Matt Adams travelled to Taiwan for the 2011 Exile Taiwan contest, The first major contest Taiwan has ever seen! Faith Huang, the distributor for Exile Skimboards, put in countless hours of work on the contest, even getting support from the government of Taiwan. The event had a great turnout and was a huge success!

At 6’8″ tall, Dave “Monster” Armstrong is one of the physically biggest skimboarders in the sport. Yet, still he shreds harder then most! He is one of the most unique people you will ever meet, from his personality to his skim style. Not many, if any, can throw air combinations the way he can. Grabbing the board in every way you can imagine. Monster is one of the most dedicated person to the sport of skimboarding. Alley Oop has shared a series of videos from their 2011 Advanced Skim Camp, produced by Andy Hensler and Jason Wilson. It will give you some insight as to what goes on during a week at Alley-Oop. This is the top level skim camp in Dewey Beach developed to take young riders to higher levels of wave riding and technical skimming.
