Skim Dance Revolution 2012
Mark your calanders for Skim Dance Revolution 2012, coming up on February 25th! After the sucess of last year’s event with Exile Skimboards Alley Oop is bringing back the epic weekend event and taking it to the next level.
The Skim Dance Revolution is an amateur skimboarding competition, professional best trick event, and a freestyle dance battle that will be taking place in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL. The Skimboarding portion of the event will take place on the beach just south of Commercial pier from 9am-3pm. The amateur division is open to riders of all ages and skill levels. The best trick event will only be open to professional skimboarders. These pro riders will be competing in a one on one heat format where riders advance through rounds by landing the most progressive maneuver. A $500 cash prize will be awarded to the winner of the best trick event while top amateurs will receive prizes and trophies. All competitors will receive lunch from Aruba Beach Cafe and a free competition hat.
The Freestyle Dance battle will take place in front of the Alley-Oop store at 6pm following the skim competition awards ceremony. Last year this was one of the most exciting parts of the day with dancers of all ages participating. Whether you’re a serious dancer or just like to get loose and have a good time on the dance floor, the dance battle is a great way to have some fun and put your skills to the test. Dj Woody B will be spinning the jams all eventing. We encourage all to attend and participate in the festivities!
