FL Pro/Am Day One Update

Day one of the 2010 Florida Pro/Am in Vilano Beach went down, and is still going down, probably until about 8:30pm tonight… The first two rounds of the professionals have run, and standouts have been Brad Domke, Austin Keen, and Bill Bryan. All three have been distinguishing themselves as the ones to beat here. The waves are small, and powerless, but it’s basically a skatepark out here.
Highlights included a huge backside 180 air re-entry by Austin Keen in his preliminary heat, a very clean bigger spin by Josh Hill, and local Brad Evers mustaching his way through to the Quarterfinals. The pros will run again in the morning with Quarters, Semi’s and Finals left to run. It’s expected to be slightly bigger tomorrow, so pray for waves, and the rest will fall in to place. Steve Pullara has been putting on a stellar event, so be sure to congratulate him on a job well done thus far. We’ll see you tomorrow.
